Welcome to Salt'n Burn, a fanart site run by galathea, hosted at misplaced.co.uk. Here you will find wallpapers, banners and icons from various TV shows as well as movies. You can also find some fanartist resources here, like texture and gradients. I hope you'll find them useful.

This site is best viewed in IE 7+ and Firefox/Mozilla with a 1024x768 resolution. If you encounter any problems during your stay, please be so kind to drop me a message or a mail, so I can take care of that!

A huge thanks goes to Nikki who was so kind to host me at Misplaced, as well as to Rosely who did most of the coding for this page! Thanks as well to all my friends over at BuffyForums that nagged me to get a site up and running, without them this site would have never come into existence.

New Art: I made two new wallpapers these past couple of days. 'Destruction' is an episodic piece for Sex and Violence and deals with the siren-induced confrontation between Sam and Dean. 'Goodbye' is actually an old piece in new clothing. It's the first Supernatural wallpaper I ever made, I just reworked it, because I really love that scene to death and thought it deserved a fancier look.

I cleaned out some older pieces that I really disliked, reorganised some categories and updated my links section.

New Layout: I have had my old layout for a very long time and it was probably my favourite layout ever, but I really needed a change. My current layout features the young teenage Winchesters in a moment of brotherly joy and happiness. With all the darkness this season, I absolutely need something positive to counter the drama. I hope you all like it.

New Art: I have two new arts today. 'It's A Brother Act' features Sam and Dean as a team of magicians. It's a silly idea that wouldn't leave me alone after Sam enthused over having a 'brother act' with Dean in Criss Angel Is A Douchebag. 'The Way We Were' is the wallpaper that goes along with my new layout. I made it for the birthday of a friend and I love it, so I thought I'd fit as a layout as well.

Last weekend the AFA awards took place over at BuffyForums and it was a fantastic ceremony. I won 19 awards, 9 of which were 1st placements, including the award for the Best Wallpaper of 2008! I have also been voted 2nd in the Best Artist category. I am completely overwhelmed by the positive response to my art. Thank you to all my friends and affiliates who voted for me. I will add the awards to the pieces in the next couple of days, but you can have a look at the main awards HERE and HERE if you like.

I have to apologise for not updating for such a long time. I think it's the longest I went without an update ever since I opened the site. Sometimes life has a way to keep you from the things you enjoy the most. I have every hope that it'll get better soon though. :)

Art Update: I stole a bit of time from my busy schedule to make at least one new wallpaper. 'Suicide Note' is an episodic piece from 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and deals with Sam's self-destructive course after Dean's death. Enjoy!

I also have 2 new affiliates. Jo's site Ever Unfolding hosts mainly art from the Whedonverse, but she also expands into other fandoms lately. Deavon from No Bad News will satisfy your need for Supernatural art, but she also has art from other shows and some goodies for fanartists. So, hop over and pay the 2 lovely ladies a visit!
